The Rev. David C. Mauldin,
pastor
A Cheerful Pessimist
“I’m a pessimist because I see life in terms of struggle, but I’m cheerful because I know that nothing separates
us from the love of God in Jesus Christ and through him we triumph.”
Favorite Bible verse: Acts 2:32 – “This Jesus God raised from the dead, and of that we are witnesses.”
Favorite Book: The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky
David is a native of Tennessee. His wife, Rosalyn, is Canadian (hence his noticeable pro-Canadian leanings). She is a professor and concert pianist. Their son, Joseph, has not yet chosen a profession.
David has been pastor here since August 2003. Prior to that he served churches in Georgia and Tennessee. He was also an editor with Abingdon Press/Cokesbury from 1997 to 2001.
